Mehak Noorani is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in voice and swallowing disorders. Mehak received her bachelor’s degree from New York University, where she majored in Communicative Sciences & Disorders. She then received her master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Prior to starting at Penn Medicine Becker ENT & Allergy, Mehak completed her clinical fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University’s Northwest Clinic for Voice & Swallowing.
Her clinical interests lie in the area of swallowing and voice disorders, with a specialized interest in voice, swallowing, and speech disorders among neurogenic populations such as Parkinson’s disease. Mehak has a strong passion for the implementation of evidence-based practice. She has been published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research and has presented her research at several conferences, including the annual American Speech-Language and Hearing Association conference and the New York State Speech-Language Hearing Association.
