Dr. Omar Ahmed is a highly trained, board-certified otolaryngology – head and neck surgeon with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive sinus and skull base surgery. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society, a distinction reserved for only the highest achieving medical students. He then went on to complete a highly competitive surgical residency at New York University School of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship training in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery with pioneers in the field at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he focused on advanced surgical techniques to treat disorders of the nose and sinuses.
He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has given talks at an array of national conferences. Prior to joining Penn Medicine Becker ENT & Allergy, Dr. Ahmed served as Assistant Professor and Division Chief of Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Ahmed treats the full spectrum of Ear, Nose, and Throat disorders with particular expertise in both medical and surgical treatments of sinus and nasal conditions. He strives to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care to all of his patients.
