Who is Carly Schiff?
Carly Schiff is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in Voice and Swallowing Disorders. Carly received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University where she earned a certificate in Musical Theatre and was an accomplished singer and performer. She then received her master’s degree from New York University in Speech and Language Pathology. Carly later worked as a voice pathologist/singing voice specialist at the Columbia Medical Center’s Voice and Swallowing Institute in NYC and prior to that at the Blaine Block Institute for Voice Analysis and Rehabilitation in Dayton, OH.Her clinical interests lie in the area of voice disorders, with a specialized interest in singing voice disorders and pediatric voice disorders. She has rehabilitated many professional singers from several Broadway casts such as Hamilton, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, The Great Comet, and more! Carly also has a strong clinical passion for the treatment of swallowing disorders and gender affirming voice training.
The Path to Speech-Language Pathology
Carly’s passion for speech-language pathology ignited in her early years where she experienced her own voice disorder as a young singer. Having been a child going through voice therapy and later a professional performance with vocal issues, she feels a strong level of compassion for all of her patients. Armed with a degree in speech-language pathology and backed by clinical experience, Carly embarked on a journey to make a real difference.
