Dr. Naba Sharif is an exceptionally trained board-certified Allergist and Immunologist whose expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of seasonal and environmental allergies, food allergies, skin conditions such as hives and eczema, and asthma. She received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College and her medical degree with a Distinction in Research from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s Hospital of Brown University and became board-certified in Pediatrics. She went on to complete her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System where she trained in both adult and pediatric allergy and immunology.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Sharif then moved to the greater Washington DC area where she practiced both as a Pediatrician and as an Allergist-Immunologist at Kaiser Permanente, and worked in an allergy and immunology private practice for eight years. While there, she precepted students at Georgetown Medical School and was voted by her colleagues as a prestigious Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine from 2016-2020.
Dr. Sharif was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology – the specialty’s premier national organizations. She serves on several committees of the Academy to advance the specialty of allergy and immunology. She has presented her research at numerous national and international meetings and has published several scientific articles in medical journals. Outside of work, she is passionate about community service, health education and empowerment, as well as advocacy for the underprivileged.
