Who is Kellie Kozak MPAS, PA-C
Kellie Kozak is a physician assistant with training in public health and clinical research. While originally from Texas, she has lived in Alaska, Japan, California, and Arkansas.
Education and Training
She received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 2005. Upon graduation from SMU, Kellie attended the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health in Little Rock, Arkansas where she obtained her Master in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Health Behavior and Health Education in 2007. While pursuing her MPH, she also worked in a medical research lab in the department of immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) on vaccine development for ovarian cancer.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Association of PAs in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and Pi Alpha, the national physician assistant honor society. She is a member of the 2008 National Board of Public Health Examiners Certified in Public Health (CPH) charter class.
Professional Background
Before attending the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) physician assistant program, Kellie spent time working as a clinical research coordinator in the geriatrics department at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, vascular and endovascular surgery department at the University of California San Francisco, and infectious disease department at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX. In 2012, she moved to Fort Worth, TX to attend the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) physician assistant program. During her training, she had the opportunity to travel to Malawi, Africa to further her study of malaria and dengue, as well as infectious diseases including HIV and TB. While in the physician assistant program, she served as the UNTHSC student director and board member for the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). For her classroom and clinical performance, she was nominated for the Dean’s Award for Scholarly Excellence with an emphasis on clinical practice by the UNTHSC physician assistant program and received the Outstanding Achievement in Physician Assistant Studies Clinical Phase Award. She graduated with a Master in Physician Assistant Studies from UNTHSC in 2015.
Kellie worked in internal medicine for several years before following her interest in allergic conditions into the field of allergy and immunology. Kellie treats pediatric and adult patients in practice. Kellie believes in compassionate patient-centered medical care.

In her free time, Kellie enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, learning new languages, reading, and traveling.
